Solar Battery Install Hits All Requirements
A recent Brownstone Solar install at Craigburn Farm has been put through the toughest tests early in its life.
The 6.6kw (Risen 16 x 415w) solar system coupled with the Alpha ESS 13.3kwh All-In-One inverter battery has produce huge savings in it’s first quarter of retailer billing.
The $5 quarterly bill was a complete surprise to the owner who stated “I was expecting this sort of low bill during the summer months when solar works better, but to get this result during the winter quarter is a real pleasant surprise that’s for sure”.
The solar battery installation at Craigburn Farm also included black-out protection which was put to the test late October when storms ripped through Adelaide, hitting the Blackwood area with huge force. Trees knocked down power lines throughout the area with thousands of homes left without power throughout the area for up to 6 days.
The solar and battery was able to run the back-up circuits, giving the owner power for the family’s needs throughout this whole period.
“We were not able to run the whole house as normal, but the blackout protection enabled us to keep the fridge going, some lights, hot water and the internet modem as well. Our neighbours and friends from the area were not as lucky and caused strain on their lives for 6 days.”
The system has started well for the family and is completely out performing any expectations they had.
