Is a home battery storage system a worthwhile investment?
Each household uses energy differently however, if you have lots of surplus solar energy during the day it makes great financial sense to install a battery to capture this energy. For example, the battery kicks in later in the day when the sun goes down and the cost of buying energy from the grid is at the highest. In some cases the payback for a solar and battery storage system can be around 4 years and up to 25% simple ROI.
Can I upgrade my existing solar system with a new battery?
There are many options to upgrade or replace your existing solar system with a new Hybrid inverter or keep your existing solar system and install an AC coupled battery.
What happens if there is a fault or something goes wrong with my system?
Contact us at any time should anything appear to be malfunctioning with your system and we will attend to the problem as quickly as possible.
What's the process once I decide to go solar? How long until you come to install the system?
Once you decide to go solar we will lodge all your approvals with SA Power Networks and your energy retailer. It generally takes 4–6 weeks for your energy retailer to get your meter changed to a solar ready meter. We will have your solar system installed before your meter is changed so when it is changed you can just switch it on and start saving.
How long does it take to install the system and will I need to be home during the installation?
The installation process generally takes 1 full day. We do ask that you are home at the beginning of the day so we can run through the panel and inverter location. But other than that you are more than welcome to go to work or you can spend the day with our friendly installation team at your home.
